I’m so excited to release this song, it really helped me grow a lot through writing it. I learnt that I am truly happy by myself and I hope it gives you all the same feeling and helps you in whichever way YOU need it to help strengthen you.
I’ve been overwhelmed with the response we received after Triple J gave it it’s first ever spin on radio. We popped a bottle of champagne (Well… not champagne… sparkling wine… but just you know, use your imagination) on the night of the premiere and you know… I think I might do the same tonight. Two years of writing, preparation went into what is happening now and what is to come.
I would like to thank my manager Rachael Dixon for working so hard everyday on organising a very unorganised person like myself, she’s a Queen with a big fat capital Q! My manager Paul Piticco for taking me on board and introducing me to such a beautiful music family! Positive Feedback, my amazing family at Dew Process, Tony Buchen for inspiring me and working with me on this track and others, Michelle Pitiris (who I have followed for such a long time and only dreamed of working with) for jumping on board as part of the team and capturing my image concepts in such beautiful photos, Timothy Lovett who I have also dreamt about working with for some time, thank you for such an amazing design for the artwork and the amazing Emma Jenner and Lindsay Wilkins who gave so much of their time styling me up for my creative activities!
